Summer Project #1

Mark got out of school last week.
Summer Break, Wahoo!
I swear I get as excited about summer as any student or teacher, even though I haven't gone to school in years!
Anyways, now that it's summer (still waiting on the weather though)...BRING ON the summer projects!

Summer Project #1 (...of like 50)
Move the water faucet to the "Orchard"! :)

We have this random water faucet spigot thingy popping up in the middle of our lawn and now with our sprinkler system in and fully functioning (another Wahoo!) we don't really need it anymore.  So Mark decided it was a good idea to move it back to the back where we planted some apple trees and a pear tree.  Sounds great to me!  That only meant about 80 or so feet of trench needing to be dug about 5 feet deep!  NO PROBLEM!!!  (Ha Ha!)
Fortunately we have some of the best neighbors ever that helped us out with their backhoe and skid steer!
We definitely couldn't have done it with out them!
I guess technically we could have...it just would have taken us ALL summer!
 See what I mean....ALL SUMMER!!!
The girls, of course, discovered rather quickly that sliding down the HUGE dirt piles was so much fun!
They seriously got SO dirty!!!
 And this....well....WAS my garden!
Abby loves working with her dad!
Once the piping and faucet was all in place, it was time to push the dirt back in.
Thank goodness!

Now just to re-till the garden and plant the seeds.
And pray the grass grows back!
WAHOO!!!

Abby's Preschool Graduation

Abby graduated from preschool yesterday!
I am so proud of her and all that she has learned this year.
And I remembered my camera this time!  Wahoo!

For the past few weeks Abby's class has been practicing their parts in the play The Little Red Hen!
They all had the parts memorized and everything.  Super Proud!
Abby and her friend Emma were the pigs.
She was the cutest little pig you ever did see!
The rest of the cast!

She also made the cutest graduate!!!
After their play they recited some nursery rhymes they have learned!
As well as the pledge of allegiance, the days of the week, the months of the year, and counted to 30.
This preschool is seriously amazing!!!
 Congratulations Abby!
You're going to make an awesome kindergartener!
Let's just enjoy summer first, okay!?!

To all my BLANCHARD cousins....

Okay, so the pictures in this post are not the greatest!
And most of you may not appreciate the content of this post!
Sheep... wahoo.... Whats the big deal!?!

But to all my "Blanchard" Cousins IT IS a big deal!  Sheep haven't been on the property for YEARS!!!
Having them back brings back a little bit of the past we never want to forget!

So to all my "Blanchard" Cousins....  This post is for you!
GRANDPA HAS SHEEP AGAIN!!!!

We got the call that there were sheep.... with baby lambs no less..... and had to check it out for ourselves!
And just like the olden days (minus grandpa's truck) we rode up and down the road hanging out the back of the van!
The girls thought it was the funnest thing since christmas!
Except Lucy.  She was just a grouch!
Just look at that beautiful sight!!!! (I may or may not have choked up a bit!)

My summer became just a little bit sweeter!
