Abby's 6th Birthday!

Abby celebrated her 6th birthday on Friday.

It's cliche to say....I know... but I cannot believe it's been SIX years since she was born!

Time sure does fly when your having fun!

And fun we've had.

Here's how we celebrated her special day...

For breakfast....
We broke out the whipping cream and sprinkles and adorned her fancy "6" pancake (totally Mark's doing) with them.
She loved it!

Then it was off to school where she was sung to and made to feel extra special all day.

That night we celebrated by having a "S'more Bar"!
It has been beautiful weather up until this week and then of course the rain and cold weather came.  Bummer!!
So since the campfire option was out, I had to get creative and figure out a way to make the s'mores indoors.
I did a lot of research and finally decided to use these sterno candle thingys. They worked fabulously!

Along with the "authentic" s'mores, I made some SUPER yummy s'more bars as well!
That's what we used to hold her candle as we sang to her.
Did I mention they were SUPER yummy!?!

 After the singing was over we let everyone loose to create their s'mores!

Next we opened presents.
She got LOTS of new bows and headbands!

 Some clothes for her doll...
And some Barbie dolls.  Yep can't believe we are there already.
She has been asking me to get all my old Barbie stuff out for awhile now.  I just wasn't quite ready to get it.
But after all the begging and pleading I wrapped it all up and gave it to her as a present (well, multiple ones!)
Call it cheating....call it cheap.... but she loved it and it what she wanted.  What can I say!

However, after this mess, I'm questioning how smart it really was
 and if it is worth hearing multiple times how this was the best birthday EVER!!!

Of course it was...right!?!

Anyways needless to say, I think she had a fabulous birthday.

Thanks to everyone who came and called to make her feel loved and special.

Hannah's "1st" 2nd Day of Preschool!!!

So I was a little late in getting this picture posted.... It's just been that kind of month!

And I don't know what happened on the first day and why I did not take her picture.  Ooops!

But she looked dang cute on her 2nd day too.

So here it is...Hannah's "1st" 2nd day of Preschool Ever!

It was my birthday on Saturday!

28 years old!!!  Eeek!  Am I really that old?

We went through many different plans on what to do to celebrate.

But either Mark wasn't on board or I just didn't feel like it.

So finally Mark took it upon himself to decide.

He did great!

Here's what we did.

Squealers Fun Park

Down by Rigby there is an amusement/fun park kind of thing.

It just recently went into new ownership and was supposedly a way better deal than before.

So Mark decided it was time for us to check it out.

We had a blast.

For three hours we could do whatever we wanted, as many times as we wanted.

And with NO crowds, we got to do A LOT!!!

Mark got to ride the go karts several times, each time with one gidy little school girl in tow!

We got to ride the bumper boats a couple of times, 

and because there were no lines, we got to stay in them as long as we wanted.

One time, Abby was brave enough to even go by herself!

The girls went on the paddle boats multiple times.
And probably loved these the most!

 They played on the giant inflatables!
And I mean GIANT!!!

And finally we went mini-golfing!
Golfing with Lucy was definitely counter-productive, but it was still fun!

 Our three hours ended at just the right time.
We were definitely getting hot, tired and hungry!

So for lunch/dinner we headed to...

Stop Light Pizza!!!

We had heard about this pizza place in Ririe (pretty much the middle of nowhere!) that serves this gigantic 32" pizza.
So we had to check it out for ourselves.
 The girls had no idea what they were in for but they knew to be excited anyways.

So this is it....my x-large. super cheesy "birthday pie".
SO YUMMY!!!!

 At the end of the day I was totally pooped
But super grateful for the fun day my family spoiled me with!

First Day of School!

 It was Abby and Mark's first day of school last week!

Abby as a kindergartner (totally can't believe this!).

And Mark as Mr. Bates, Principal of Hibbard Elementary.

So this will be the second home to both of them for many years to come!

They both did great their first day/week!

So grateful and excited for this year!
