Playing Catch-up!!!

Whew!  Did the month of August fly by for everyone.... or just me!?!

August, like the rest of our summer was packed with fun!
Let me fill you in on some of the things we did!

CAMEL-BACK RIDING!!!
(July 26th)

Our wonderful neighbors hired someone to bring their camel over and give rides to anyone and everyone that wanted one!
They also brought with them a baby camel....
...and a baby buffalo!
Totally aweseome!

BOISE!!!
(July 26th - Aug 1st)

Immediately after our camel riding experience we hopped in the van and headed out for Boise.
Baby Jack (our newest little nephew) was being blessed.
It was so great to be with the family again.
We stayed an extra long time because Mark had some conference meetings to go to.
The girls loved every minute of being with their cousins.
We played a lot and took pictures very little, but here are a few!
One afternoon we decided to get some pizza and take it to the park for a picnic.
The playground equipment was pretty hot, but it didn't keep these monkeys from having some fun!!!
Only 4 months difference between these 3 cuties!
So much fun being with cousins!!!

BLANCHARD FAMILY REUNION!!!
(Aug 3rd)

We got back from Boise on a Thursday and Saturday was our big "Blanchard Family Reunion".
Lots of family were in town so we kinda had an impromptu family reunion.
It started out with a yummy breakfast!
After which the girls entertained themselves (and the cousins) by playing in the dirt!
(Seriously, if there is a pile of dirt to be found...my girls will find it!).

I'm not sure what Abby was doing!?!  But Lucy's cheeser kills me!!!
We got the girls somewhat cleaned up and then headed out for our shotgun shooting contest.
Some of the cutest spectators you'll ever see!
The clay-pigeon thrower...
And the shooter!
Following the shooting contest, we headed back to grandma's to get ready to float the river.
A tradition when us Blanchard's get together.
After floating, the men decided they wanted to jump off the bridge too...
Another tradition!
That evening was dinner and games.
Such a fun day!

SWIMMING LESSONS!
(Aug 5th -15th)

That following Monday the girls started swimming lessons.
They had a blast! And can not wait to do it again next summer!
And for those of you who have seen them swim this summer....you wouldn't recognize these water babies now!
Wahoo!

SWIMMING WITH THE FAMILY!
(Aug 19th)

Cody and Anne have been visiting for a couple of weeks while they wait for their new apartment to open up.
It's always so fun to see them and Broc and Maren.
One day while they were here we decided to go swimming.
With the girls new found love and confidence in the water it was so much fun!

Isn't Heidi the best Aunt!
This little one never had a problem loving the water!

Floating down the Lazy River...
Which brings us up to date.... I think!
Phew!!!

School starts in two days here, so maybe things will be slowing down.... maybe!?!
