California Bound 2012!!!

It has been SUPER crazy around here lately, moving and all (more on that later!).  I have somewhat unburied (more like shifted stuff from one side of the room to the other) my desktop and am finally getting around to downloading and posting new pictures.  But before I post about my new home, I want to post about our trip to the beautiful state of CALIFORNIA!

In the midst of the moving and unpacking, we headed to California for a week.  It was a much needed, sanity-boosting, break from it all.  We played a lot, ate a lot, and of course, relaxed a lot.  It was great visiting with Mark's brother and sister and their families, and we can't wait to do it again soon...
I'd say Christmas, maybe!!  Who's with me?

So we left Rexburg at 4:30 AM, so that the girls would sleep a few hours before breakfast (which gratefully they did).  We made it to Twin Falls and ate breakfast at IHOP.  YUM!!!  The girls loved the bridge coming into Twin.  Perfect place for a photo op too!
During the week we went to this awesome children's museum.  It had tons of water activities, a life size doll house, grocery store, and post office (my girls absolutely loved and played there most of the time), and other cool experimental things to learn from.  It was great.
Hannah and Abby waiting in line at the "grocery store".
"Postwomen" Abby!
Lucy had a major blowout on the way to the museum, hence the reason she is pantless!
That night we went swimming at some friend of my MIL's house.  They had an awesome pool and it was great to cool off from the heat (we're talking upwards of 97 degrees).
The pool had this great lounging/sitting area that (at least for our family) doubled as a place to jump off.  I love in these series of pictures you can see how nervous Abby starts out, but how brave she ends up.
And then there's Hannah who will do absolutely anything.
"Uncle Sparky" liked to splash all the little kiddies!

TO BE CONTINUED.... (sorry the girls are up!)
